I am starting to think that perhaps a sign should be placed via court order in these people's yards for as long as their license is suspended or some other significant amount of time. As well as some sort of bumper sticker to be kept on their cars at all time, that says something to the affect of "I choose to drink and drive, by doing so I put you and your family at risk." Embarassing? Yes! Exactly the point. I don't think their names being publicly announced in some poorly formed list hidden in the paper is good enough. This should be front page with their names in bold print. Clearly seperated so that it is easy to read. Are they really that much different that sexual offenders?

I think there is a difference between dui and sex offense. As far as the other, I wholeheartedly agree. No hardship liscense and loss of liscense for 5 years for first offense. Some countries actually take the liscense for life under the first offense.
