No Bond For Man Accused In Road Rage Attack

BARTOW | Casey Weldon Till, who is accused of killing a Kissimmee woman in an attack on her family Sunday night remains in jail without bond following his first appearance hearing Tuesday, the Polk County sheriff’s Office said.

Till is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Odalis Cespedes, 41, of Kissimmee.

He is also facing no bond on two counts of attempted first-degree murder for attacking Ivon Despaigne, 19, and Angel Gonzalez, 21, both of Kissimmee. Both remain in Lakeland Regional Medical Center in serious condition.

In addition, Till faces no bond on charges of armed carjacking, and $100,000.00 bond for aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer.

Till is accused of attacking Cespedes, Gonzalez, Despaigne and her husband, Mario Despaigne, about 11 p.m. Sunday at Lake Hatchineha and Watkins Road. The family, which was in two cars, was returning home after spending a day at the beach.

Till is accused of stabbing Ivon Despaigne and Gonzalez, her boyfriend, and using their car to twice strike Cespedes. Cespedes died at the scene. Mario Despaigne, and the couple’s 6-month-old daughter, were not injured in the attack.
