Polk Community College students have through Saturday morning to register for classes in the term that starts Aug. 18.

PCC is holding a special registration day — called Super Saturday — from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at its Lakeland and Winter Haven campuses. Registration also is taking place weekdays on both campuses and online

.

At the Saturday event, students also can apply to PCC, see an advisor and take a placement test.

For more information, call 297-1000 or go to www.polk.edu/learn.

Schedule booklets are available at area chambers of commerce, high schools, libraries and the college's Lakeland and Winter Haven campuses.

PCC offers courses leading to an associate in arts degree, which provides the first two years of a college education and are transferable to state universities, and an associate in applied science or associate in science degree, which offer skill training for immediate employment.
