Notice that Bartow IB and Harrison School of the Arts are no longer listed under Polk High Schools - the state lumped their scores in with Bartow High and Lakeland High, respectively. Now Bartow has the best scores overall Countywide and looks like it improved a lot. It didn't necessarily, but it sure did benefit from having IB's Student scores added to it.

Harrison Arts students take ALL of their academic classes at Lakeland High School. They are all mixed into classes with Lakeland students. It is 100% appropriate that the scores on the FCAT be combined for the two schools.

I have always felt it was unfair to list those schools separately. Those groups of students take the same classes as BHS and LHS students, taught by BHS and LHS teachers, using the same resources from those schools. The scores should be combined.
