Activities will be in its lobby and waiting rooms: Today: assistance in scrapbooking for telling life stories, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. performance by magician Paul Weatherbee; Wednesday: performance by classical guitarist Joe Gavin, scarf painting, massage therapy from 9:30-11:30 a.m.; also yoga in the board room 3-4 p.m.; Thursday: Kids Carnival Day with puppets, clowns, dogs and snacks in the waiting rooms. Nail technicians will provide free manicures for patients during the week.

wednesdayFOUR-WEEK CAREGIVER TRAINING SERIES, starts today, will meet 10:30-11:30 Wednesdays, Sterling House, 6110 Cypress Gardens Blvd., Winter Haven. The Alzheimer's Association - Florida Gulf Coast Chapter is providing the program for caregivers, family members and anyone else interested in learning about Alzheimer's disease, other types of dementia and the services people may need. SIX-WEEK GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP, for adults who have lost a loved one, starts Wednesday and will meet 10:30 a.m.-noon consecutive Wednesdays through July 9, North Lakeland Presbyterian Church, 6725 N. Socrum Loop Road. Good Shepherd Hospice provides the program, but people don't need to have used Good Shepherd to attend. Register with Thelma Ralat, 968-1743 or 800-464-3994.
