Publix, Mosaic Ads Say It's Easy Being Green

Publix Super Markets and the Mosaic Co. are among several Florida firms touting their Earth-friendly practices in commercials from the Environmental Defense Fund and Florida Wildlife Federation. The ads, which are running in Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville and Tallahassee, are part of a campaign to showcase Florida businesses that have developed solutions to address climate and energy issues. Lakeland-based Publix has revamped store designs to reduce electrical energy usage, while Minnesota-based Mosaic, (which operates phosphate mines and fertilizer plants in Polk County), produces electrical power from waste heat with no fuel source.
