FSC Men Advance to Regional Finals

BOCA RATON | Florida Southern's men's tennis team advanced to the finals of the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional on Friday with a 5-1 victory over Mars Hill in Boca Raton.

The 10th-ranked Mocs got victories from their top two doubles teams and straight-set wins at No. 6 and No. 4 singles. No. 1 Michael Knoedler completed the victory.

The Mocs (17-8) play sixth-ranked Lynn (17-5) in the regional championship today at 1 p.m. Lynn shut out Newberry 5-0.

It will be the third time the Mocs have met Lynn this season. Lynn won 7-2 in the regular season and 5-2 in the Sunshine State Conference Tournament.

FSC Women Fall to Lynn: The 13th-ranked Florida Southern women's tennis team ended its season Friday with a 5-0 loss to third-ranked Lynn University in the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional in Boca Raton. Lynn swept all three doubles matches, then clinched its 12th straight regional championship with sins at No. 3 and No. 5 singles.

The other four singles matches went unfinished, with Lynn leading in three of them. The Mocs finished their season at 17-7. Lynn advances to the Women's Division II Championship next week in Houston.
