Mr. and Mrs. Powell

John H. and Mildred Emilia Powell of Bartow celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with their family at Longhorn Steak House. They eloped to the town of Prospect, Conn., and were married April 16, 1948, by the justice of the peace, the late Clifford P. Wallace.

Their son is Gary R. Powell of Bartow. They have one grandson. A son, John M. Pawelchak, and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Anne Pawelchak, are deceased.
