James Frasier and Julie Boyington of Lakeland announce the engagement of their daughter, Ciara Frasier, to Joel Dempsey of Lakeland, son of Richard and Christy Dempsey.

Frasier graduated from George Jenkins High School. Dempsey graduated from Kenneth C. Thompson Institute of Public Safety and is a police officer with Bartow Police Department.

A September wedding is planned.
